About Us

Special Note From the Breeder

We need each other – that’s what years of having dogs in my life has taught me. Many times, I’ve pressed my face into a loving dog’s warm coat during tough times. Similarly, I often see my boys cuddle with them when they’re having a hard day.  They’re always a constant; ready to fill the void in the dark times, or make you laugh when you need it the most. They are always there….always….looking up at you with those big warm and comforting eyes reassuring you that it will all be ok. I’m honored to be the connector between dog and human. One that fills the incredible need for great breeders that have love and respect for dogs as well as one that will advocate on their behalf to find them a perfect “fur-ever” home. Hopefully, a home that will be with you so you, too, can experience their unconditional love.

We have been so blessed to have the opportunity to raise dogs that are healthy, that have great temperaments, and are little heart healers filling the spaces in our souls that humans cannot. There is no better way of honoring our dogs than changing how breeding is done; all the while getting people the dogs they need, and getting dogs the humans they deserve!

Together we can shut down puppy mills, bad breeders, and start to find our beautiful canine friends homes they deserve!

It's not just about us, together we are better!

As we treasure being these puppies first humans, we pray that you’ll be their forever humans.

Our Commitment: Story, Standards & Promise

Our past years of experience in breeding came from breeding both AKC Labradors and AKC Miniature Schnauzers, but while searching for the perfect low allergenic pet for our family, we came across the designer breed of the Goldendoodle. What a find! They are perfect because of an amazing combination of traits. Not only do Goldendoodles have an impressive list of both physical and temperamental qualities, they are also almost completely non/light-shedding and so the concern of allergies was greatly diminished! And……..as an added bonus….less shedding meant less cleaning on my part! YAY!

Breeder's Story

Next Level Matchmaking

We pride ourselves on making sure our puppies have a voice. We want to know who they are as individuals and that includes puppy evaluations at about 6 weeks old because this is when those personalities start to emerge. Who are they, what do they like, how do they play, who is brave, who wants to be held? We want to know these things so we can create a match between dog and human so the relationship will thrive. They deserve to have a voice, and we do our very best to make that happen. Visit our Temperament and Personality Evaluation page to learn more!

Sensory Exposure

Our Goldendoodle puppies are raised in our family home, following the intentional Bad Ass Breeder Program. This approach puts our puppies ahead of others. From the age of three days until they leave for their new homes at eight weeks, we follow a carefully planned sensory and evaluation routine. We do this by exposing the puppy to different smells in the environment and home. We also get it used to being touched and hearing different sounds.

They are constantly being exposed to all sorts of household and environmental noises, being handled by different people of all ages, sex and race, trained to confidently overcome physical obstacles, experience different floor surfaces, experience car rides, and so much more.

We believe that the first eight weeks of your new puppies life should be packed full of confidence building experiences solidifying that the world is safe, dogs are good and people are kind. When we do this for our puppies, they will go home with you well prepared and then can fully focus on their new family and all life and forever love has to offer them. This is truly beautiful.

ENS & ESI for Goldendoodle Puppies

At Owen-a-Doodle, we are committed to giving puppies the best start in life by implementing Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) during their first weeks. ENS uses gentle handling exercises that boost cardiovascular performance, strengthen immune systems, improve stress tolerance, and help puppies better adapt to new environments. Meanwhile, ESI exposes puppies to a variety of scents, enriching their natural scenting abilities and fostering confidence, curiosity, and successful outcomes in future service and therapy work. This early training lays a foundation for healthier, more resilient, and well-adjusted Goldendoodles.
